2.ANCIENT CULTURE:Egyptians

Here we will talk about one of the world major cultures. Their characteristics, scored countless people who later were behind answers to your questions about these people. These people was the Ancient Egyptians, more precisely, their social layers.
The Ancient Egyptians possessed an efficient organization, however unfair. This secured their expansionism and operation. Each social layer own their functions and powers.

1)Pharaoh.
The Pharaoh was the supreme ruler of the Egypt. He possessed absolute power over the Egyptian sociaty, and was regarded by all as a God. Their power was the hereditary form, making the Egyptians  have no right to choose their leader. The Pharaoh and his family had a lot of money, because they were with most of the taxes collected from the population. The Royal Family lives luxuriously in huge palaces. Also, the Pharaoh in life, ordered the construction of the pyramid would be placed his mummified body with his treasures after his death.

2)Priests.
They were below the Pharaoh. They also was responsible for events and religious festivals in the Ancient Egypt, and know very well the Egyptian Gods and their functions. They controlled the temples and commanded the rituals after the Pharaoh's death. Some of them had their body mummified and placed in pyramids after their deaths.

3)Military Commanders(Generals).
Military leaders were responsible for the security of the Egyptian territory. In war times, they gained prominence in society. They had to prepare and organize the army efficiently, as a defeat or failure could cost them their lifes.

4)Scribes.
They were responsible for the Egyptian writing (hieroglyphic and demotic). Recorded events and especially the life of the Pharaoh. Wrote on papyrus (paper made of papyrus plant fibers), the walls os the pyramids or in clay or stone slabs. The scribes also controlled and recorded the taxes levied by the Pharaoh.

5)Egyptian people.
More than half of the Egyptian society was made up of merchants, artisans, farmers, herders and doctors called "Nu dom" (Human suffering) . They worked hard to earn enough to sustain their lifes. They could be summoned by the Pharaoh to work without receiving wages on public works ( Palaces, temples, dockyards).

6)Slaves.

Generally were the enemies captured in was of conquest. They worked hard and received no salary. they eraned only old clothes and food for survival. They were despised by society and lacked rights.
